The event is organised by the Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross Association. There are a range of volunteering opportunities on both days. Volunteering on the event is hard work, but we have a great team spirit and we think you’ll enjoy your time with us.

  • Event Marshalls – we need a small army of event marshals to man a range of positions around the course on both days of the championships. You will control crossing points, help spectators and man car parks and other public areas. You will need to be on duty from 9am – 3.30pm. You will need to be fit and and good health and you will need to bring clothing suitable for standing in the open up to 7 hours. In return we have once again secured a guaranteed place for all marshals in the 2018 Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross race. Our thanks go to the 3-Peaks organisers. To register as a volunteer please email fredrothwell@hotmail.co.uk or 01422 832195.
  • Sign-on Team – we need eight volunteers per day to man our sign-on area from 8am till 2.30. You will be handing our rider numbers and transponders and overseeing the sign-on of each rider. This is an indoor role. To register as a volunteer please email fredrothwell@hotmail.co.uk or 01422 832195.
  • Course Crew – We need a small team of volunteers to help construct the course from 8am on Saturday 9 December 2017 and to take it down again on the afternoon of Sunday 10 Dec, after racing finishes. Work includes staking and taping the course, building the pit area, marking our spectator areas and signing the event. A smaller maintenance crew is required to look after the course during the event. Contact Phil Ingham on philipingham@hotmail.com or 07582 086091.
