These are the rider notes, also emailed to all competitors.

Car Parking

Car Park 1 – Pits, spectators, & competitors (nearest to the pits)– signposted off Lister Lane/Valley View Grove on the A6177 Bradford inner ring road. The nearest postcode is BD2 4LP. There will be a small fee of £2 for parking.

Car Park 2 – VIP, competitors, media & officials – signposted off Cliffe Road, close to the A658. The postcode BD3 0LT gets you onto Cliffe Road. There will be a small fee of £2 for parking.

Please park responsibly and with respect to other competitors. Please do not take up a car park space with EZ-Ups or awnings. Teams and Clubs can book Gazebo space close to the start line for EZ-Ups by email to mandyparker2@ntlworld.com. There will be a small charge.

Overnight parking of Campers is allowed but is by pre-arrangement in advance only-email Mandy Parker (mandyparker2@ntlworld.com) for details.

Any practice between races is at the discretion of the chief Commissaire.


Sign On

Is located in the Park Café near the changing rooms nearest to the Cliffe Road side of the park. All entrants must sign-on before being allowed to compete. A valid racing licence must be presented at sign on. You will receive a body number, which must be pinned to the LEFT side of the lower back, and an arm number, to be pinned to the front of the LEFT arm. Signing-on closes 30 minutes before the advertised start time of each race. See timetable below to check when you can sign-on for your category.

Safety Pins: Please bring your own safety pins for affixing body and arm numbers – four for each number.

Equipment pit passes: Each rider is permitted one accredited helper in the equipment pit (two, if needed, for the Elite Men’s, Elite & Junior Women’s, Under 23 Men’s and Junior Men’s categories). Passes MUST be collected when signing on.

Transponders: We will be using transponder timing for all categories. Transponders will be issued at sign-on and should be attached to the ankle using the strap provided. Please remember to return the transponder after the race.


Changing rooms and showers are located in the main Changing Rooms near Sign On. Normal rules apply, no bikes, no muddy shoes and leave the changing rooms as you would like to find them. Any issues with drains clogged with mud, missing loo rolls etc, please report to the Marshals Marquee as soon as possible. We’d like to come back.


Is located at the bottom of the park road which leads from the Cliffe Park entrance towards the promenade just before the main promenade crosses over it.


Is on the main promenade, please do not double back over the finish line.

Pits/Bike Wash Area

This is located just next to the tunnel where the main promenade crosses the path below the Lister Lane Car Park. There will be water bowsers just near the pits. The course is likely to be very muddy, please make it easy on yourselves by bringing plenty of water. Jet washers are allowed but must be situated on the tarmac to allow run off under the tunnel and within the marked area. They are not to be sited on the grass – washing on the grassed areas will lead to exclusion from the event. No vehicles will be allowed in or near the pits.



Podium Presentations

Medal presentations will take place at the BC podium truck immediately after each race. Please ensure that if you are in the top three in your race, or sub-category, or where appropriate, are a member of the winning team, that you make yourself available so that the presentation can go ahead promptly.


This will be provided by two catering companies with additional coffee vans near the start.


There are toilets in the changing rooms and two blocks of Portaloos situated at two locations within the park, close to the start area.


Please clean up after your dog and keep dogs on leads at all times.
